Task management is the key to project success. Project members will have great advantages if the overview scope of the current project status is clear. Using this information, scheduling, resource management, and project scope re-arrangement could be done easily. The [Task] plugin achieves this by providing members with personal task management, gantt chart control and WBS to visualize the project tasks at any point in time.
The task management pages are accessible by all project members assigned to any of the projects. Here, you will be able to do all sorts of operations on the tasks, such as creating tasks, assigning to members, status reporting, make comments, etc. Some features are only available for project managers, such as creating/updating/deleting tasks. Also, project managers are allowed to modify all tasks regardless of the owner. Whereas, project workers are only allowed to modify the tasks that are owned (assigned) to it self.
Following shows you the main menu that is present in all task plugin pages. By clicking each of the menu links, you will be able to access all other related pages.
View all created tasks in the project. The caption displays the total number of records stored. Long texts will be displayed as tool tip when mouse is over. Operation menu in each row allows you to manipulate on the selected task. You can navigate the list if it exceeds the limit of displaying per page by using the pager at the bottom of the table, or display all data by clicking [View All].

The schedule page displays the task progress in the specified time frame as calendar view. Each bar color represents the task status: gray - on hold / red - working / yellow - waiting for approval / green - completed. When mouse is over the bar, details of the task will be displayed as tool tip. Clicking the task name will show a Task Context Menu. The top time frame input fields allow you to specify the time frame in which the schedule to be displayed in yyyy-mm format from start date to end date. Press the [Show] button to display the schedule.
Following shows you the task tree page. This page lists all tasks in a work breakdown structure. By clicking any of the task name will show you a Task Context Menu.
This context menu lists all the operations you can do with a task. Project manager-specific features will not be displayed here for project workers.
This page allows you to create and view comments posted on a single task. Press the [Create] button to post your comment.

View detailed task information from this page. The [Update] and [Delete] link will jump to the corresponding manipulation pages. The delete menu will only be available to the project manager.
Update task information from this page. Only in this update page, you are allowed to set the task status. There are 4 types of status: On Hold/Working/Waiting For Approval/Completed. Choose the one that most describes the current task status. For project workers, [Assignee] and [Status] will be the only fields allowed to be changed. Press the [Update] button to reflect the new information.
Delete the task. All child tasks will be deleted. Be aware that this operation cannot be undone. Press the [Delete] button to delete.
