PYRODESTRUCT (パイロデストラクト) は 2004 年 6 月に結成される｡ 元々、海外在住歴を持つメンバーだけで構成されていたが、数々のメンバーチェンジを繰り返し現在に至る。
音楽的な影響をうけているのは主に 80 年代ハードコアや近年のヘビーミュージックだが、ジャンルよりも反骨精神の思想を重視したスタンスをとっている。そのため、ポリティカルなメッセージや反宗教的な曲が多いため、一部のマニアな人たちから反感を買うこともしばしば。
自分の立場を守るために他人を陥れようとする利己的な人間が蔓延る日本社会の中で、はっきり NO と言い、抵抗することの重要性を少しでも多くの人に認識してもらうために活動を続けている。
PYRODESTRUCT was formed in 2004 as a punk rock band in Japan with orginal members consisting: tomo (vo+gt), tadashi (dr), murakoshi (ba) and kei (gt).
As we all know the saying "punk is attitude, not style", members were constantly being fired due to lack of commitment, and most of all, differentiating opinions on what they believe is punk and what is not.
The band's initiation was surely not a successful one, but constant member changes influenced the music style and established the band's definition of what modern punk rock is all about. Keeping that in mind, PYRODESTRUCT was yet not another 3rd generation trendy "punk" (you know, like all the kids wearing caps, short sleeves with sum41 printed on it).
Through music, the band aims to protest many aspects of the human ego that builds the chaotic society nowadays and passes the "correct" message to the next coming punk generations.
PYRODESTRUCT is one of the bands who think punk is not dead (although the word "punk" is somewhat obsolete these days) and will never diminish as long as there is abuse of authority by selfish ignorant people.
Major influence comes from Sex Pistols, Discharge, Exploited, Machine Head, Korn, Hate Breed, and many punk/metal/hardcore bands.
"PYRODESTRUCT" means to burn in mass destruction. If you think the name is contradicting with our believes, take it as an irony.
